Refugee School Impact and Support to Schools

If your student has been in the U.S. for less than five years, the Refugee School Impact (RSI) and Support to Schools can be good resources for helping with academics and social support.

School districts with an RSI program include:

Youth Mentoring

If your student has been in the U.S. for less than five years, the Youth Mentoring Program can connect students to mentors (or adult leaders) who will support them in their school and community activities.

Youth mentoring providers include:

Afghan Early Childhood

For eligible Afghan families with young children who have been in the U.S. less than five years, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services can help support early childhood development. The program makes sure the child is reaching important milestones and has the needed medical and educational resources.
