Refugee Housing Coordinators

Housing Coordinators at the Refugee Services Office and partner organizations can help you find housing and learn what assistance is available. The coordinators work with landlords, housing agencies and community partners.

Single-parent Households receiving FEP

Workforce Services works with Housing Connect to administer Refugee Employment Subsidized Housing (RESH) and Bud Bailey Case Management for single-parent households who are enrolled in the Family Employment Program (FEP) and are employment ready (have the documents needed to work). Housing Connect provides temporary help paying rent, connects you to services, and provides education and advocacy to help you maintain stable housing.

Afghan Employment, Training and Housing Assistance

The Refugee Services Office offers limited emergency rental assistance for Afghan arrivals in employment and training programs through the Afghan Employment, Training and Housing Assistance program. This program is administered by Housing Connect (Salt Lake County) and Bear River Association of Governments (Bear River area).

Supportive Services Funds

  • Catholic Community Services offers a Ukrainian supportive services fund that provides short-term emergency rental assistance and other basic support needs.
  • The Asian Association of Utah has an Afghan supportive services fund that provides short-term emergency rental assistance and other basic support needs.
