Steps to Receive Payments

How to Create and Manage a DWS Child Care Portal Account

Only providers that have completed all steps with Child Care Licensing to  be eligible to receive DWS subsidies may receive subsidized child care payments through Workforce Services.

To create a DWS Provider Portal account, providers that have completed the steps with Child Care Licensing to be eligible to receive DWS subsidies may email occ@utah.gov. Providers may also leave a voicemail message on the Office of Child Care Provider Helpline at 866-435-7414 or in the Salt Lake City area 801-526-0950 (select option 5, and then option 1.)

Child care providers must have a financial account set up in the DWS Provider Portal in order to receive subsidy payments  by direct deposit from the Department of Workforce Services.

The amount of the subsidy payment is based on a customer’s eligibility. There is no guarantee of payment. Providers are required to review their portal at least once a month and report required changes.
