ABLE Program
Savings and investment solutions for people with disabilities
ABLE Utah accounts allow individuals with disabilities to save and invest without losing benefits such as Medicaid or SSI.
Users can contribute up to $17,000 per year. If employed, they can contribute an additional $13,590 of income. Investment tools include four mutual fund based investments and one FDIC-insured savings option.
Users can use money saved in ABLE accounts to pay for any expense related to their disability — not just medical expenses. These include:
- Education
- Transportation
- Housing
- Employment
- Personal support services
Parents or guardians of a child with a disability should also consider ABLE Utah savings accounts! Money saved in ABLE accounts can be used to pay for any expense related to your child's disability — not just medical expenses.
If you or someone you know could benefit from the greater financial freedom found in an ABLE account, visit ableut.com.
