Income Equality

Gini Coefficients provide information on income inequality and how it changes over time. See the visualization for a brief explanation of the coefficient. The Census Bureau began publishing these numbers for 2006 income data. This visualization shows differences in income inequality for both states nationally and counties in Utah. Data for individual years is available. Also, the visualization pictures how income rankings have changed by county over time.
