County Commuting Patterns

Commuting patterns reflect the intercounty flow of workers in a selected county. The inflow measures the number of workers which are employed in the selected county but live outside of it. The live and work component includes those who report residency and wages in the same county. Outflow includes those who report residency in the selected county but employment elsewhere. Data are updated annually as part of the Census Bureau LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES).
